About Murbles
Murbles are an American made outdoor family friendly game based on the ancient European game called Bocce. It is played with oversized marbles called "Murbles" (Murray's Big Marbles). The game is made for age 6 and up.It is easy to play, easy to score and easy to WIN. When playing Murbles size, speed, agility and even skill are not required assets which makes Murbles an ideal game for kid, teens, parents and grandparents alike. Murbles is a social game and encourages lots of walking and talking with a relaxed vibe. You determine your own pace and distance played. The game is exciting, changeling and fun for all to play.
There is no set up required, simply dump the solid HD 3 inch diameter 1/2 pound balls from the convenient canvas carrying bag and it's GAME ON! Murbles require no playing court and can be played almost anywhere. Obstacles like tree roots, mounds, bushes and trees become part of the game, use them to your advantage. Since the toteable weight of a 7 ball game is only 5 pounds it is perfect for tailgating, family reunions, the park, beach, (their buoyant) or just hanging out in the backyard. The game rules are printed on the back of the canvas bag. Murbles are a great excuses to get the family outside playing together. Murbles are available in an array of colors so you can customize your set to match your school or favorite sports team.We took advantage of a nice sunny day after school to go out and play Murbles. All the boys had a lot of fun. The construction of the game is very sturdy. The balls feel nearly indestructible. The bag is made from a heavy canvas which feels strong enough to carry all the balls easily. It is also very helpful that the rules are printed right on the bag. At first we were a little confused how to sore each round. We determined that we could get up to 2 or 3 points if the other persons balls were all further away than ours from the point ball. It may also mean that your balls are the same distance away from the point ball. I also like that we were able to select custom colors for our set. You could even choose colors to reflect a favorite team. I would suggest making sure they have enough contrast to easily distinguish each player. The game is recommended for ages 6+, but as you can see we have Mr. C playing at 3 years old. He was on my team so I could help with the rules. I know the boys will love to play this when their friends come to visit. Lastly, I love that there is not any set up time and it can be played in virtually any location. Mr. O won our first game, but we all had a good time!
