Martian Dice is a fun, fast-paced dice game that adults and kids both love. Abduct cows, chickens, and humans to run tests and determine who is actually in charge on earth. Your turn starts by rolling all 13 dice, and ends when you choose to stop and score points. Martian Dice has a wonderful and fun theme. You won't find any zombies in this dice game. 2+ players can play Martian Dice in 30 minutes.
Two of my sons were very excited to play Martian Dice. My oldest loves games. The first steps to playing were clear, but for some of the following dice rolls we had to keep referring to the directions. Like, could you take Death Rays and Cows on the same roll if you had already take Death Rays previously? We think the answer is no. The next time we played I needed to review the directions, but I misplaced them. I was able to look them up online, but it would be even more convenient if the were printed on the container.
My youngest wasn't able to follow the rules, but he wanted to have his turn too. I was able to make it a good learning experience by asking him to sort them into groups and then counting how many were in each group. In our family it's important that games can be modified so every can play. Even with Mr. C participating the game only took us about 20 minutes. Overall, after figuring out the intricacies of the rules, it's a fun game that builds good strategy skills.
