Enter a realm where magic reigns and the world's elements are creatures with mythical abilities! On your turn, you will look at 2 of the face-down Elemons on the table, revealing them to all players. When you find a pair of Elemons, you will earn them and also invoke their unique special power, giving you an advantage for the rest of the game. Every three of the same Elemon you find, will summon the corresponding Gigamon to your side. And when you have 3 Gigamons, you win the game! Gigamons is a game artistically designed to engage the player's imagination and carry them away to a new world.
This is a fun memory game with an added twist. My three kids have been playing it nonstop for the past week. You can have up to four players, so even I can enjoy playing it with them. The rules are, when an Elemon match is made you get to do something special, like take another turn or peek at four of the cards. Each Elemon allows you to do something different. When you have collected 3 Elemons you get to take the larger Gigamon. Because my kids also really like Pokémon they say that the Elemons are evolving into Gigamons. Once you have three Gigamons on your side you win. The age recommendation is 6, but after explaining the rules to my four year old he was able to play too. He just doesn't quite have as much strategy as his brothers. The game pieces are sturdy and will hold up to lots of repeated play. Lastly, the art is absolutely beautiful! I enjoy looking at all the detail in each of the pieces. Overall, this is a great game that the whole family can enjoy.
