Big Updates - In Bits and Pieces

So much has changed in the past few months it's hard to know where to start. I keep thinking of things to write but they all get jumbled. I hope you stick with me and see my progression through the last few months. I hate to go back this far but I'm going to start with early July of last year. My grandmother had had a stroke in May and I started taking care of her in the mornings after she got home from the hospital. Now I'm not a nurse by any stretch of the imagination. But, I've always been close to my grandma and wanted to help. It was mostly giving her food and medications, and making sure she was stable and had company if she woke up.

In late July my mom came to visit and help take care of her mom. I'd still come by in the mornings to help too. She seemed to be getting better while my mom was here. She would have her eyes open more and occasionally she would say a few words. She celebrated her 95th birthday in August. Just after my mom left my grandma became less responsive. She had a slow decline until the end of September when she passed away. She was very loved and I will remember her always.

My Experience
The first thing I noticed about this pill was it's size. It is very large. I didn't have a difficult time swallowing the pill, but some people might. Because I was able to swallow it I never did try to bite into it, so I don't know if the flavor is really lemony. I can say that I didn't have any yucky aftertaste then or later in the day. If there was one change I could make it would be a smaller pill, even if I had to then take two a day.

Our Experience
Don't you hate it when you food splatters all over your microwave. I always have a tough time getting it really clean, especially the top. The Ramini Splatter Guard helps eliminate this problem. It is easy to use, just place it over your bowl or cup after you place it in the microwave. Carefully remove it just in case there is steam, you don't want to get burned. Then wash it by hand or toss it in the dishwasher. My food came out hot and my microwave stayed clean. One time I used it to reheat leftover spaghetti. It looked like the splatter guard might be stained, but after I washed it a couple times the stain was gone. Overall this works to keep me from having to clean my microwave as often.
